LesbianGlobal: Founding Member in the Fund Our Futures Campaign
At LesbianGlobal, our mission is clear: to uplift and empower LBQ+ women, particularly those in the Global South, where the challenges are often most dire. Our work spans across various projects, each designed to create lasting change and address the urgent needs of these marginalized communities.
One of our most impactful initiatives is the Fund Our Futures Campaign, a testament to our commitment to ensuring that LBQ+ women are not left behind in the global movement for equality.
LesbianGlobal is deeply invested in shifting the paradigm for LBQ+ women – ensuring that their needs are at the forefront of funding and advocacy efforts. The Fund Our Futures Campaign is an example of how we are taking the lead in this effort. Through this campaign, we have committed to raising $1 million over the next three years, with the goal of directing these resources to empower LBQ+ women who face some of the most complex and layered challenges in the world.
Why are we doing this? LBQ+ women in many parts of the world, especially in under-resourced regions, face unique and compounded hardships due to systemic lesbophobia, misogyny, and the lack of adequate resources. These women are often excluded from broader funding initiatives, their voices unheard, and their struggles ignored.
LesbianGlobal is committed to changing that narrative. We’re ensuring that LBQ+ women are not only included in the global funding conversation but that they lead it, too.
By mobilizing resources, amplifying advocacy, and building sustainable networks of support, LesbianGlobal is making sure that LBQ+ women’s voices are not just heard, but acted upon. The Fund Our Futures Campaign is just one example of how we are turning our commitment into action. Through this and other initiatives, we are reshaping what global advocacy and funding for LBQ+ women should look like.

LesbianGlobal is honored to be one of the 28 inaugural funders of the Fund Our Futures campaign—an ambitious $150 million fundraising initiative launched in late 2024 by the Global Philanthropy Project (GPP).
GPP works to expand philanthropic support for LGBTI people and movements, particularly in the Global South and East, where funding gaps remain critical. This campaign is a direct response to the escalating crisis in LGBTI funding, aiming to ensure that progressive resources reach the communities most impacted by rising anti-rights movements.
So far, 28 funders have pledged $101 million toward this initiative, standing together against the coordinated attacks that seek to roll back hard-won human rights gains and weaken democratic institutions. As these threats grow, sustained and strategic funding for LGBTI movements is more essential than ever.
However, several major LGBTI donors are scaling back or ending their programs, creating an urgent need for new sources of support.
Launched at the first-ever Global LGBTI Funding Summit in November 2024 by the Global Philanthropy Project, the Fund Our Futures campaign calls on philanthropic organizations and donor governments to meet this crisis head-on by committing new funds to protect and advance LGBTI rights globally.

LesbianGlobal Economic Empowerment Fund (Coming Soon)
For too long, LBQ+ women in the Global South have been excluded from economic opportunities due to systemic discrimination, funding gaps, and lack of access to capital. At LesbianGlobal, we believe economic empowerment is key to long-term liberation.
That’s why we’re developing the LesbianGlobal Economic Empowerment Fund—a groundbreaking initiative dedicated to advancing economic justice for LBQ+ women.
What is the Economic Empowerment Fund?
This initiative is part of a broader effort to expand economic opportunities for LBQ+ women, beginning with the LesbianGlobal Data Connect AI-assisted research tool. By equipping activists with valuable research, we ensure their economic needs are recognized and prioritized.
By this, we provide financial support, capacity-building, and resources to help LBQ+ women-led businesses, social enterprises, and grassroots initiatives grow and succeed.

Some of our grantee partners are larger organizations, but our funding is always directed toward specific programs that directly benefit LBQ+ women's communities.
